My Template Hub — Chrome Extension

My Template Hub (“the Extension”, “we”, “us”) is a Chrome extension that lets you save, organize, and quickly reuse your email, DM, and AI‑prompt templates. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. What we collect

a) Account information (only if you sign in)

When you choose to sign in with Google, we receive from your Google account: your email address, and your basic profile (name and profile picture). We request only the minimal email and profile scopes. We do not request access to your Gmail messages, contacts, Drive, or any other Google data.

b) Your content

The templates you create — their title, body text, tags, category, and pinned/usage state. This content is created by you and stored so it can sync across your devices.

c) What we do NOT collect

• No browsing history, no page content, no keystrokes.
• No advertising identifiers. No third‑party trackers.
• We do not read or inject content into web pages in this version.

2. How we use your information

We use the information solely to provide the service: authenticate you and keep you signed in; store your templates and sync them to your account across devices; and associate your templates with your account so only you can see them.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or template content with any third party for marketing, advertising, or any unrelated purpose.

3. Where your data is stored (sub‑processors)

• Google — used only to authenticate your sign‑in (OAuth). Governed by Google’s own privacy policy.
• Supabase — our cloud database/hosting provider stores your account record and templates. Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Your templates are also cached locally in your browser (chrome.storage) for fast, offline‑friendly access.

4. Data isolation & security

• Each user’s data is isolated at the database level using Row Level Security (RLS): a signed‑in user can only read or write their own rows. No user can access another user’s templates.
• All network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS.
• We follow the principle of least privilege for both OAuth scopes and extension permissions.

5. Extension permissions (and why)

We do not request access to your browsing activity or the content of the sites you visit.

6. Data retention & deletion

• Your templates are retained until you delete them or request account deletion.
• You can export your templates at any time (Settings → Export to CSV) and delete individual templates from the Extension.
• To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at vinaykumar.sahu093@gmail.com and we will remove your record and templates from the database.

7. Children’s privacy

My Template Hub is a general‑productivity tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Using the extension without signing in

You can use the Extension without an account (local‑only mode). In that case your templates are stored only in your browser’s local storage and are not sent to our servers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date on this page.
